Sadie-Anne Christiansen, (1990)

Sadie-Anne Christiansen passed into the loving arms of her waiting mother in the early hours of September 10th, 2026. She was also reunited with many loved animals who were waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge: Hadley, Vader, Greykit, Blackjack, and Jethro, to name a few. She succumbed to complications of Type I Diabetes, whose diagnoses came at age 11 while living in a hotel, three months after losing everything when the family home was destroyed by fire in 2001.

Born in Logan, Utah on March 13th, 1990, with a full head of dark, curly hair, she, from the very beginning, was a headstrong, independent individual. The only child of Deborah M. and James C. Christiansen, her formative years were spent in Petersboro, Utah, where she attended Wellsville Elementary, South Cache Middle School and graduated from Mountain Crest High School and LDS Seminary. She became a talented lyrical soprano; she had joined the Cache Children’s Choir at age five and sang with them until aging out of their oldest group, the Cantate Choir, after which she trained privately with Debbie Ditton for several years. She also played the cello, learning in school orchestra and through individual lessons. After graduation, she worked in several jobs, including Convergys, Vivent, Maverik, Family Dollar, the IRS in Ogden, and finally working from her home in Ogden for many years as a fulltime Customer Service Associate with Home Depot, where she was employed at the time of death. She greatly enjoyed her work, and loved meeting with and assisting people from every part of the country.

More than anything, she loved her animals, especially her cats. She was fond of horseback riding and owned several different horses through her teenage years. She loved movies, and was a Star Wars aficionado, and knew the Star Wars canon inside and out. Interestingly, from the first movie she ever saw (‘The Lion King’), she identified and adored the villains of the genre, and her latest “mentor” was Grand Admiral Thrawn of the Galactic Empire, played by Lars Mikkelson, with whom she identified as a fellow Dane, having a good amount of Danish blood in her ancestry. She also was very fond of Jeremy Brett’s Sherlock Holmes, Viggo Mortensen’s Aragorn, Geoffrey Rush’s Barbossa, Alan Richman’s Snape, and Pedro Pascal’s Mandolorian as well as his character in “The Last of Us.” She was very much looking forward to attending the FanX convention this week and meeting several of her favorite stars. She was a talented poet, and a writer of fan fiction, as well as many original short stories, which she was hoping to someday publish. She loved playing all kinds of board games with friends and family and binge-watching favorite shows with her dad. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the magnificent Gothic building which houses the Ogden 4th Ward, where she made many friends who knew her by her nickname, “Chevy,” and was always looking forward to singing with the ward choir.

She was preceded in death by her mom, Deborah Lee Moss Christiansen, along with many, many loved cats, dogs, birds, horses, and tarantulas. She is survived by her dad, James Christiansen, her cats, Ash, Yuki, Tommy, Polly, and Cassian (Andor!), and her tarantulas, Penny (who is 16 years old), and Cedar (a South American Birdeater), as well as many loved cousins, aunts and uncles, and of course her kindred-spirit unofficial sisters Krista, Kylee, and Tiffany!

From the day she was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes, she was always hopeful hearing the promises of a cure that we were always assured was “just a year or two away.” She longed for that day to happen, but sadly it did not come in time for her.

She will be remembered and honored with a Graveside Service on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 3 p.m. in the Mendon City Cemetery, where she will be interred next to her mom (even though she had expressed her wish to be buried in the hometown of a certain one of her ancestors in Denmark – perhaps one day we will be able to scatter some of your ashes there). And we will always remember your alter egos: “Chevy Dixon,” “Chevy Daniels,” and “Severin Jones!”

Requiescat In Pace, little one, you will be sorely missed.
