Annie Cleopha Peterson Walker

Annie Cleopha Peterson Walker, 82, died Friday, February 17 at a local health care center following an extended illness.
She was born May 14, 1906, in Malad City, to Peter Andrew and Margaret Elizabeth Jones Peterson. She graduated from Malad City High School, then earned a degree in education from Idaho State.
She married Lawrence E. Walker August 22, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She taught school for 28 years, in Toponce, Woodruff and Pocatello.
She enjoyed drama, fishing, cooking, painting, traveling and dancing. As a young lady, she also enjoyed riding horses.
She was a longtime member of the ADK teachers sorority and the LDS Church.
She is survived by her husband of Pocatello; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Wendy) Beall, Salt Lake City, Utah; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and her parents.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Pocatello LDS 6th Ward, 42 Princeton, with Bishop Darold Chambers officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave. and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the 6th Ward Church. Burial will be in the Mountainview Cemetery.
