Nathaniel A. ‘Nat’ Waldron

Nathaniel A. “Nat” Waldron, 91, of Malad, died Tuesday, January 2, at the Oneida County Nursing Home.
He was born February 4, 1898 in Gwenford to Levi Savage and Davinah Elizabeth Roderick Waldron and was the 11th of 13 children.
He married Leah Mary Chandler April 20, 1927 in the Logan LDS Temple.
He farmed in Samaria and also for the AFC office. In 1964 he moved to Malad and was employed for several years as an insurance agent. He was active in civic and community affairs.
He was a high priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many of its organizations.
He is survived by his wife, of Malad; three sons, Dr. Acie C, Columbus, Ohio, James C, Las Vegas, Nevada, and D. LaMonte, of Weston; five daughters, Mrs. Piatt (Phylllis) Price, Samaria, Mrs. Frank (Mada) Stanger, Roy, Utah, Mrs. Denton (Helen) Greene, Weston, Mrs. Melvin (Leahmae) Erickson and Mrs. Dale (Gwen) Evans, both of Pocatello; 50 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest Waldron, Samaria, and Lewis Waldron, Malad. He was preceded in death by three sisters, seven brothers, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were Saturday at noon in the Malad Fourth Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Samaria Cemetery
