Lenora Helen Glebe Hummell, 71, passed away Thursday, July 23, 1998, at her home in Malad following a year-long battle with cancer.

She was born November 10, 1926, in Red Cloud, Nebraska, a daughter of Arthur and Cary Diederich Glebe.

She married Harvey Hummell in Central City, Kansas. Mr. Hummell passed away December 3, 1991.

After moving to California in the late 1940’s, they raised four children, three sons and one daughter.

Following Mr. Hummell’s retirement in 1972, they moved to Malad, where they have since resided.

Lenora enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking, her garden and her flower beds.

She is survived by two sons, Richard (Ric) Hummell and John Hummell; one daughter, Carole (Gary) Davis all of Malad; one brother, Roy (Annie) Glebe of Startup, Washington; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey; a son, Leonard; three brothers and also one sister.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 28, 1998 at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home.

Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
