Bybee, Gene Ray ‘Pretz’ – 26 Jul 1936

MORGAN-Utah – Gene Bybee, 63, died Friday August 27, at 6:15 a.m. at his home.

He was born July 26, 1936 in Downey, Idaho a son of Guy Jefferson and LaRita Bennett Bybee.

He married Danna Vanover on July 19, 1955.

He was employed at DDO as a crew chief of the fire department, retiring in 1990.

He also ran his own business and loved horses (and digging post holes).

He had been a member of the Jubilee Ramblers Square Danging Club, Western 2 Steppers Club and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2472 Ogden, Utah.

He will greatly be missed bu his wife, two sons; Gene G. and Jan Bybee, Ogden; Daniel V. and Helen Bybee, Milton, Utah; one daughter, Nadine and Joel Uscika, Roy; seven grandchildren, two brothers; Rex and Norma Bybee, Downey, Idaho; Jack Bybee, Pocatello, Idaho; three sisters; Donna and Snub Burton, Downey, Idaho; Ruth and Delbert Thornley, Boise, Idaho; Betty Auston, San Clements, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999 at 12 noon in the Walker Mortuary, 45 West 200 North, Morgan, Utah.

Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, South Morgan Cemetery.
