Ella Rae Henderson

Ella Rae Henderson, 83, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2009 in Pocatello, Idaho. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 in the Swan Lake LDS Ward Chapel at 12:00 noon. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 -11:30a.m. prior to the service on Friday. Burial will follow in the Swan Lake Cemetery.POCATELLO – Ella Rae Henderson, 83, of Pocatello, Idaho, died Sunday, Sept. 6 2009 at a health care facility.
She was born Nov. 24, 1925 in Franklin, Idaho to John and Belva Lowe Kirk. Ella Rae grew up in Franklin and graduated from Preston High School. She married Myron “Pete” Henderson in Elko, Nevada on Aug. 24, 1946.
Ella Rae worked many different jobs throughout the years, but her greatest love was working alongside her husband with the race horses in Boise, Idaho where they resided for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Shauna (Kevin) Wilhelm of Pocatello; her son, Sid Henderson of Boise, Idaho, four grandchildren; Justin (Tara) Wilhelm and Jared (Jennifer) Wilhelm of Pocatello Michelle (Mike) Miller of Ogden, Utah and Preston Henderson of Boise and four great-grandchildren as well as one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Bonnie Deffenbach of Beverly Hills, California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Craig Henderson, her parents, her brothers Percy and Ross Gibson, her sisters Ann Hull, Eva Johnson, and Mary Carter.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hillcrest Haven for all their kind and loving care over the past several years.
Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at noon in the Swan Lake LDS Chapel. Friends may visit with the Henderson family on Friday prior to services from 10:30 to 11:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Swan Lake Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home.
