FUNERAL SERVICES HELD AT CALDWELL FOR FORMER RESIDENT IRA THOMPSON

Ira Charles Thompson, 94, died December, 1978 at a Caldwell nursing home.

Mr. Thompson operated the Gambles and later the Western Auto store in Malad for 20 years before moving to Caldwell in 1958. He was a past president of the Malad Chamber of Commerce.

He was born August 6, 1884 at Plattville, Wisconsin, and married Nellie Evelin Johnston on Aug. 28, 1912. She died Jan. 3, 1975. They spent many years farming in Montana before coming to Malad.

Surviving are a daughter, Neva; four grandchildren, a brother and two sisters.

Funeral services were conducted at the Deer Flat Free Methodist Church at Caldwell. Burial in Caldwell.
