MALAD- Helen B. Servoss, 77, 508 South, Fourth East, Brigham City, Utah, and former Malad resident, died Saturday morning in Brigham City.

She was born March 26, 1910, in Lansing, Michigan, to Herbert and Ethel Loop Buck. She was raised by her grandparents. She was reared and educated in Lansing and graduated from Lansing High School.

She attended Michigan State University for two years and later received her education degree from Utah State University.

She married J. Arthur Servoss March 5, 1931, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Malad for 50 years where they owned and operated a farm.

She taught German for the Malad School District for 15 years and received the honor of Outstanding School Teacher of America. In 1981, the couple moved to Brigham City where they have since resided.

She was a member of the LDS Church, served as Relief Society president of the Fourth and Second Ward, and served as teacher in many ward and stake auxiliaries.

She was a member of the Malad Ladies Literary Club and the Ladies Farm Bureau.

She is survived by her husband of Brigham City; two sons, John A. Servoss, Logan, Utah, and Richard G. Servoss, Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter, Mrs. Ted (Jean) Andra, Logan; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
