MALAD – Theo Peabody Richards, 74, died Saturday [February 8, 1983] in a Bremerton, Wash. hospital.

She was born Feb. 22, 1908, in Malad to Jacob and Martha Jones Peabody. She married Thomas Earl Richards March 25, 1930, in Soda Springs. He died Aug. 20, 1978. She lived in Malad until 1942 when she moved with her husband and son to Bremerton, Wash., where she lived until her death. She was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Boyd Richards, Port Orchard, Wash.; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph Steven Peabody, Ashton, Tharoid Peabody, Baker, Ore., and LeRoy Peabody, Malad; and three sisters, Mrs. Berton (Rachel) Williams, Malad, Mrs. Ned (Sylvia) Shaffer and Mrs. Henry (Rosie) Pingel, both of Malad.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Benson Horseley Funeral Home. Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home and prior to the services on Thursday. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
