Funeral for Fredrick Reeve, age 55, held in California
Funeral services for Fredrick (Fred) William Reeve, age 55, who died June 13th [1970] at a North Highlands, California hospital, were held at North Highlands.
Mr. Reeve was born at Fort Douglas, Utah, Feb. 6, 1915, to William Nye and Louise Meyer Reeve. He was educated in Utah and Idaho schools and lived at Malad for several years before going to Yellowstone Park where he was employed before enlisting in the National Guard in 1941. He served in the European Theatre of Operations during World War II. He married Letha Richards of Malad in 1941 and the marriage was later solemnized in the Oakland LDS Temple. He had held various positions in the LDS church, including executive secretary, Sunday School counselor and MIA secretary. He had been employed by Bureau of Reclamation, Central, Calif.; retired from McClellan AFB as a civilian employee and at the time of his death was working at an exclusive men’s club at Sacramento.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, Gregory and Richard; a sister Charlotte Wood, all of the Sacramento area.
Honor guard from McClellan AFB provided military rites at the burial.
