Thelma Ward Price, 72, of Cherry Creek, passed away Tuesday May 23, at her home following a long illness.

She was born May 29, 1922 at he family home in Woodruff, a daughter of Arthur Minor and Sarah Moss Ward. She was educated in Woodruff and was a graduate of Malad High School Class of 1940, as well a graduate of Malad LDS Seminary program. She worked for one year in California for Vega Aircraft.

On December 3, 1941, she was married to Thomas Glen Price in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Henderson Creek, south of Malad, where she has since resided. She and Glen spent 11 winters in St. George.

She had been an active member in the LDS Church, where she had served as Primary president,YWMIA president, chorister in several organizations, Sunday School and Primary Stake board member, dance director, and as a teacher in all organizations. She had also served as the Ladies General Chairperson for the Malad Stake Sesquicentennial as well as the Cherry Creek ward Centennial.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Glen price; two sons and their wives: Monte Glen and Monique Price, Kevin and JoLynne Price; and two daughters: Sheila and Arthur Peabody, Karen and Mark Arnout; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five sisters; Wanda Warton of Malad, Elaine and Ralph Gardner of Salt Lake; Faye and Kalil Hansen of Brigham City; Dorthy Knorr of Salt Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 27, in the Malad LDS 5th Ward. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
