Mrs. Lola Jean Jones Daniels Petersen, 60, of Garland, died Friday, February 10, 1984 at their home of cancer.

She was born June 24, 1923, in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of Myron Thomas and Lola Lorraine House Jones.

She married Ralph L. Daniels on March 3, 1939, in Malad. He died February 24, 1963. She married Howard R. Petersen on May 21, 1965, in Idaho Falls.

She was a member of the LDS Church and had been a Primary teacher, Relief Society visiting teacher and mini class leader and Sunday School teacher.

She had worked as a waitress for many years.

She was a member of the Eagles and had been president of Auxiliary 3823 for two years. She had served as junior past president, vice president, conductor and chaplain.

Surviving are her husband of Garland; four sons and five daughters, Ralph L. Daniels, Wendell, Idaho; Thomas D. Daniels, Frazier Park, California; Owen J. Daniels, Malad; Galen J. Daniels, Bountiful; Mrs. Leon (Annette) Sorensen, East Garland; Mrs. Vernon (Judy) Pack, Burns Oregon; Mrs. Jerry (Joan) Richards, Fielding; Mrs. Richard (JaNene) Hess, Plymouth; Mrs. Craig (Tamra) Ellis, Garland; one stepson and one stepdaughter, Russell Petersen, West Valley City; Mrs. Ronald (Pam) Larson, St. George, Utah; 50 grandchildren.

Also surviving are her mother of Malad; two brothers and two sisters, Myron T. Jones and Grant H. Jones, both of Malad; Mrs. Josephine Lambert and Mrs. Clair (Carrie) Robinson, both of Ogden.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 14, in the Garland Ward Chapel with Bishop Walter R. Johnson officiating. Burial in the Malad Cemetery.
