PEABODY, ARTHUR – February 20, 1918 – September 14, 2003

Arthur Peabody, 85, of Malad, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2003 in the Oneida County Long Term Care Center. He was born February 20, 1918 at Deep Creek (Malad), Idaho, a son of Isaac and Alice K. Evans Peabody.

He married Jessie Diane Bloxham September 9, 1941 in Jerome, Idaho, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple, August 26, 1964. Jessie preceded him in death on September 29, 2002. They had made their home in Malad, where Arthur had worked at various jobs. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Arthur is survived by two children; Arthur I. (Bernice) Peabody of Tremonton, Utah, and Polly D. (Mike) Scott of Malad; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five brothers, three sisters, and a daughter-in-law, Sheila Peabody.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 18 at 12 noon in the Horsley Funeral Home. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
