MARY J. JONES
Mary Jenkin Jones, daughter of Mary Jenkins and Jenk Jones deceased, passed peacefully away Friday morning, December 11, 1942. Mary Jones was born in Malad September 5, 1875. She obtained her education in the Malad public schools and the B. Y. U at Logan.
Tho modest and unassuming, she will be remembered by all those who knew her because of her pleasing personality and high ideals.
Miss Jones is survived by two sisters and a brother, Mrs. W. H. Palmer, Mrs. Edwin R. Jones, and Thomas Jenkin Jones. Funeral services were held Monday at the First ward chapel with Bishop Junius Crowther presiding. The invocation was offered by E. N. Crowther and the benediction by H. I. Mills.
Speakers were W. H. Rutter, Joseph M. Isaacson and President W. H. Richards. Closing remarks were by Bishop Crowther. Musical numbers were: duet, Mrs. Gendolyn Ward and Mrs. June Ward; vocal solo, H. M. Williams; St. John quartet. Prof. S. M. Powell accompanied the musical numbers.
Interment was in the Malad cemetery. President George T. Hyde of Downey dedicated the grave.
Those from out of town who attended were Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Palmer and family, Burley; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Nielsen, Logan; Mr. and Mrs. Day Garfield, Tremonton.
