Thomas E. Jenkins

Jenkins, Thomas. Nov. 1963. Funeral services for Thomas E. Jenkins, 60, who died Thursday at Salmon of natural causes, were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Malad Reorganized LDS Church with Ralph W. Harding officiating.

At the funeral home, family prayer was by Mr. Harding. At the church prayers were invocation, Errol Williams and benediction, Raiford G. Benson. Speakers were Mr. Williams, who gave the obituary, and Mr. Harding. Musical numbers were prelude and postlude, Myra Jean John; vocal solos, Jenkin Palmer, accompanied by Myra Jean John. Concluding rites were conducted at the Malad City Cemetery with Raiford G. Benson giving the graveside prayer. Flowers were carried by members of the Royal Neighbors’ Lodge. Casket bearers were Lewis Jenkins, Tom Lusk, Bill Lusk, Earl Lusk, Sam Lusk and Cleon Lusk.

A son of David E. and Gwenford Jenkins, he was born at Malad on May 24, 1903. He moved with his parents to Tendoy, near Salmon, in 1918 where he finished his schooling. He moved to Salmon in 1948 where he since resided. He never married.

He is survived by an aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson, Salmon; a niece, Mrs. Gwen Chandler of San Diego, Calif. and several cousins in Malad.
