Mary Jane Jenkins died of cancer at her home in Grover Beach, California on March 5, 2009 at the age of 73. She was born January 22, 1936 in Twin Falls, Idaho to McKinley Jenkins and Venna Izatt Jenkins. She grew up and attended public schools in Malad City, Idaho. She continued her education at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
Mary Jane moved to California in the late 1950’s where she had resided since that time. She married William Sisemore, and they became the parents of two children: BranDee Sisemore, of Grover Beach, California; and Bryan Dee Sisemore, deceased. This marriage ended in divorce.
Mary Jane also adopted one child, Venna Marie Jenkins, of Grover Beach, California and has helped raise a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Marie Jenkins. Mary Jane also married William Record, whom she later divorced. She has maintained contact with many of the Record relatives, whom she counts as some of her dearest friends.
Interment was in the Arroyo Grande District Cemetery next to her son, Bryan.
