William Morris Lowe, age 86, left in a hurry after a full day of golf on Tuesday, November 4, 1997.
He was born February 16, 1911 in Cherry Creek, Idaho, the son of Joel Parker and Rachel Cecilia Jones Lowe and married Maude Crompton July 3, 1936. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple
Bill graduated from Box Elder High School in 1930, playing varsity on the State Championship football team. He graduated from Weber College with an Associate Degree, majoring in Physics and English. He was an active member of the LDS church. He worked as a refrigeration engineer for Utah Ice and Storage Company, and Colorado Ice and Storage.
He loved his family, the mountains, all sports, traveling, animals and his fellowmen. His photographic memory and his quick wit will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Maude, children: Linda (Don) Clifford of Bountiful, Utah; De-An Lowe of Salt Lake City, Utah; Bill (Sherry) Lowe of Phoenix, Arizona; Patty (Chad) Stott of Centerville, Utah; Barbara (Gib) Dickerhoof of Evergreen, Colorado; sister, Ruth Cecil of Salt Lake City, Utah; brother, Varge Lowe of Ogden, Utah; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Maurine and Dorothy; and brother, Parker.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 8, 1997 at 12:00 Noon at the Kimball Mill Ward, 720 South 200 East, Bountiful. Friends may call Friday evening from 6 – 8 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Saturday from 10:45 – 11:45 prior to services at the church.
Interment Brigham City Cemetery at 3 p.m.
