Taul F. Greer, Jr.

GREER, TAUL F., JR.

A former Malad resident and his three step daughters, who have been missing since their light plane disappeared during a June 11 flight over Lake Michigan, are all presumed dead.

Pilot Taul F. Greer, Jr., age 48, was flying the light aircraft on a flight from Wisconsin to his home in Indianapolis, Indiana. Officials said debris washed ashore indicates the craft crashed into Lake Michigan.

Mr. Greer was born October 11, 1928 in Malad, a son of Taul F. Greer, Sr. and Mary E. Greer. He attended grade school here and was graduated from Weber High School in Ogden, Utah.

He was educated at various trade schools in carpentry and engineering and was a construction engineer on nuclear power plants, employed by Gilbert Associates at the time of his death. He served in the Army from 1954 – 1957.

Surviving are his widow Marilyn of Indianapolis; four sons, Mike Greer, Reno, NV; Bill Greer, Roy; Richard Greer, Sacramento, CA; Glen Greer, Concord, CA; two daughters Sherry Peterson, Great Falls, MT; Connie Greer, Concord, CA; six grandchildren.

Also surviving are his father, Taul F. Greer, Sr., Roy; one brother, Gene Greer, South Weber, UT; two sisters Alena Bullock, Fort Collins, CO; and LaRene Webb, Cedar City, UT.
