GRIFFITHS, THOMAS MORGAN, (?), 1887 – (?), 1961
Funeral services will be conducted at the Malad First LDS Ward Chapel for Thomas M. Griffiths, 74, who died Monday evening following a car-pedestrian accident.
Thomas Morgan Griffiths was born in Malad in 1887, a son of William T. and Elizabeth Morgan Griffiths. He was reared and educated in Malad. He married Ida Palmer, January 24, 1917 in Salt Lake City. She died in 1957.
Mr. Griffiths was a High Priest in the First Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had been a justice of the peace for 16 years and a custodian at the Oneida courthouse for many years. He had operated a farm north of Malad City during his youth.
Survivors include a son, Gordon; daughters, Mrs. Larell (Maria) Jones, Mrs. Lon (Ilean) Corbridge, all of Malad; 14 grandchildren and a great grandchild; brother, G. William, Malad; sisters, Mrs. Amelia Waldron, Boise, and Mrs. Hannah Waldron, Samaria.
