Lois Marilyn Camp Evans, 65, of Hamer, Idaho died July 28, 2009 at her home. She was born September 3, 1943 at Malad, Idaho to Wendell Draper Camp and Chloe Blanche Benson Camp. She was raised in Malad and attended schools there until the family moved to Sugar City in 1955. She graduated from Sugar-Salem High School in 1961 as class salutatorian.
She married Myron Cluff Evans on June 16, 1961 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived at Rigby then Preston, and in 1974 they moved to Hamer where they have since resided.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society and in the Young Women’s program. She enjoyed quilting, playing the piano, singing and singing in choirs, and she enjoyed theater. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, Myron, of Hamer; children: Teresa (Mark) Richardson, Michael (Leslie) Evans, Mark (Tammy) Evans all of Idaho Falls; Wendy (David) Westover of Hamer, Loana (Troy) Barker of Rocklin, California, David (Alice) Evans of Rigby, Daniel (Aimee) Evans of Clearfield, Utah; Nathan (Carrie) Evans of Pocatello, and Samuel Evans of Hamer; her brothers and sisters Dean (Joan) Camp of Talent, Oregon, Sharon (Robert) Butler of Idaho Falls, Steven (Pat) Camp of Robbinsdale, MN, Gail Preswich of Idaho Falls, Cheryl (John) Forsberg of Nescopeck, PA; 28 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 31 at the Hamer LDS Church with Bishop Wade Yearsley officiating.
Interment was in the Sugar City Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home of Rexburg.
