

EVANS, MILDRED REED, July 7, 1923 – March 27, 2008
Mildred Reed Evans, 84, our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on March 27, 2008 in Malad.
Mildred was loved by her family and friends. Her whole life revolved around her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. She was loving, gentle and kidn.
Mildred was born in Daniels, ID on July 7, 1923, the second child of William John and Clara Rosa Neuhouse Reed. She graduated from Malad High School, class of 1941.
She married her sweetheart, Rex T. Evans, on Christmas Eve in 1943. They were blessed with two children. Mildred was very creative with oil painting, gardening and cooking. She was a homemaker and a banker. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and taught Primary.
She loved life and used her abilities to please all. Mildred is survived by her son, Greg (Jan) Evans of Pocatello, ID; her daughter, Marsha (Dale) Schwartz of Mala, four grandchildren: Shannon (Heidi) Schwartz, Jeff Schwartz, Amund Rex Evans and Emily Rose Evans; great-grandchildren, Shandi and Wyatt Schwartz; brothers, Boyd (Allean) Reed of South Carolina and Cleon Reed of California; sisters, Merle (Leonard) Nault of California and Norma (Gary) Rasmussen of Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.
Funeral services were held April 1, 2008 in the Horsley Funeral Home. Burial followed in the St. John Cemetery.
