John Allen Ward

John Allen Ward, 44, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018, from injuries sustained in a fatal truck accident. He was born March 19, 1974, in Logan, Utah to Richard and Helen Wayman Ward. He graduated from Malad High School in 1992 and attended Bridgerland Technical College in Logan, Utah, before serving an LDS mission to Columbus, Ohio.

He married Tishara Wilson on May 5, 2000, in the Logan LDS Temple. John was a life-long resident of Malad, Idaho. He was employed as a driver, a job he thoroughly enjoyed, by Moss Trucking Company until his retirement in 2018.

John was an active member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed camping with his family, cheering on the Washington Redskins Football team, and helping his father on the family farm. He loved riding horses and enjoyed teaching his nieces and nephews how to drive stick-shifts. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Despite his having to deal with the challenges of Myotonic Dystrophy, he remained pleasant and upbeat. He will be greatly missed..

John is survived by his mother, Helen, his wife, Tishara, his three children, Madison, Kodee and Jayden, his brother James Ward and four sisters, Elizabeth (Terry) Kealamakia of Kaysville, UT, Melissa (John) Sorenson of St. George, UT, Catherine (Stan) Makaafi of Denver, CO and Rachel (Kris) Blanch of Idaho Falls, ID, and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Allen Ward and his brother , Peter Jess Ward.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 12 noon at the Malad LDS Stake Center, 1250 North 1100 West, Malad, Idaho. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 17 from 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, August 18, from 10:30 to 11:30 at the Stake Center. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery.
