EDNA BECKSTEAD DIES AT PRESTON FRIDAY

Edna Murdock Beckstead, 72, died at her home in Preston Friday (30 Aug 1958) after a long illness.

Funeral services were held there Tuesday and burial was in the Preston cemetery. J. D. Price was a speaker at the services.

Mrs. Beckstead was born August 29, 1886, at Logan, a daughter of John and Catherine Roland Murdock. She was married to Roy M. Beckstead at Malad on August 4, 1909, here, and they made their home here until 1938 when they moved to Preston.

Surviving are her husband, Preston; two daughters and a son, Mrs. Leigh (Afton) Harrison, Malad; Mrs. Hazel Krebs, Seaside, California, Terrel, Preston; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters.

Among those from Malad attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Harrison and Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Colen H. Sweeten, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Earl Caldwell, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas T. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Evans.

Mrs. Sylvia Sparks, Mrs. Alice McKay, Mrs. Earl Lush, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Evans, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Price, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Burrows, Mrs. J. R. Hawkins.

Mrs. Claude Allen, Twin Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Harrison, Los Angeles, who were visiting here also attended.
