DOWNEY Zane Darryl Anderson. Age 9, of Downey passed away Saturday afternoon, April, 21, 2001, from injuries sustained in a four-wheeler accident at his home in Downey.

He was born June 5, 1991 in Pocatello, Idaho, the son of Darryl Anderson and Barbara Anderson. He was in the fourth grade at Downey Elementary School. He was also a member of TAG (Talented and Gifted Program). He was active in Cub Scouts and held the rank of Bear. He was a member of the LDS Church and was involved in Primary.

Zane was a special spirit here on earth, so special that Heavenly Father needed him more than we did. He lived life on the edge, always giving 110 percent. He loved the outdoors, camping, horses, hunting, fishing, bike riding, boating, four-wheelers, cats and tigers. He loved all animals, playing with his brothers and sisters. He loved being the center of attention and playing jokes on people. He loved showing off (and he was an expert at it). He was very confident and had a very positive attitude. Zane died doing what he loved, playing with his brothers and sisters. His family and friends will miss him dearly. He could always put a smile on your face. Those special memories will be with us forever. We Love You, Zane.

Zane had just been on a steelhead fishing trip with his dad on the Salmon River. He was so proud that he had caught the biggest fish. It was over eight pounds.

He is survived by his father Darryl H. Anderson, Fort Hall. his mother, Barbara Anderson and Todd Ellis of Downey; his three brothers Dustin Anderson, Dustin Ellis, Chris Ellis; four sisters Holly (Thad) Clarke, Bonny (Jim) Hathaway, Trista Anderson and Jodi Ellis; Aunt Cristy (Kevin), Trennepohl of Pocatello; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins; grandmother, Joan Michaelson of Pocatello, Grandfather, Ralph (Mike) Michaelson, great-grandmother, Helen Michaelson, both of Rushville, Neb.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the Downey LDS Chapel, with Jesse Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends this evening, Tuesday, April 24, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., Pocatello, and Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
