W. P. Camp, Jr. (Birth – November 15, 1879)
Bishop Leo H. Brown conducted the funeral service Monday at Pleasantview LDS Ward for Williams P. Camp, Jr., age 81, who died Friday night (12 May 1961) in an Ogden hospital after a short illness.
W. Paul Camp offered the family prayer. At the chapel, prayers were offered by Ruel Ipsen and Merlin Bastian. Speakers were Jesse Hughes, Daniel M. Price and Bishop Brown who read the obituary. Vocal solos were sung by Leora I. Brown and Jenkin Jones and the Relief Society Singing Mothers presented a number. Accompanists were Iris Barker and Mary Lynn Ipsen who also played the prelude and postlude.
Dedicatory prayer at the Pleasantview cemetery was offered by Wayne McConkie. Flowers were carried by grandchildren, Pleasantview Relief Society, Hazel Yeates, president, supervising.
His grandsons, Steven Camp, W. Dean Camp, Ferguson Camp, C. Alan Camp, Sheldon W. McConkie and LaMonte D. Camp acted as casket bearers. Members of the Malad stake High Priests Quorum were honoray (sic – honorary) bearers.
Interment was directed by Benson Funeral Home.
Mr. Camp was born Nov. 16, 1879 at Samaria, a son of Williams Peter and Ann Morse Camp. He married Esther Violet Draper, Dec. 17, 1902, in the Logan LDS Temple. She died in 1955.
A life long resident of Pleasantview, he was a rancher and active in the LDS Church. He served as Sunday school superintendent there for 17 years, was stake Mutual secretary, had been a ward teacher all his adult life and had served in all the auxiliary organizations. He had fulfilled a mission to the southern states.
Mr. Camp had sheared sheep for 52 years.
Survivors include six sons and two daughters; A. Virgil Camp, Provo; Wendell D. Camp, Sugar City; W. Paul Camp, Bakersfield, Calif.; Waldamere Camp and Cecil Camp, both of Ogden; J. Alden Camp, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Wayne R. McConkie, St. George, Utah; Mrs. F. A. Cuoio, Pocatello; 32 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Alvin Camp; four sisters, Mrs. (Margaret C.) Peterson, Malad; Mrs. Millie Hunsaker, Brigham City; Mrs. Emma Hunsaker, Delta.

Williams P. Camp Jr., 81, Malad, died Friday night at St. Benedict’s Hospital of complications following surgery.
Mr. Camp was born Nov. 15, 1879, in Samaria, Idaho, a son of Williams P. and Ann Morse Camp. He married Esther Violet Draper on Dec. 17, 1902, in the Logan Temple. She died October 1955.

Petersen, Malad; Mrs. Amelia Hunsaker, Brigham City; Mrs. Deseret C. Moon, Malad; Mrs. Emma C. Hunsaker, Delta; Alvin M. Camp, Malad; 32 grandchildren, 17 great-granchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Pleasant View, Idaho, Ward Chapel by Bishop Leo H. Brown. Friends may call at the Benson Funeral Home in Malad Sunday evening and Monday prior to services.
