(Uncle Willie)
William Price Davis was born in Samaria, Idaho, July 8, 1877. He was the son and the sixth child of David Price Davis and Elizabeth Griffiths Davis. His life history is very limited. He attended the grade schools in Malad Valley. He was age 13 when his mother died and age 17 when his father died.
He lived with his sister, Elizabeth Arbon, in the Arbon Valley and his brother, Owen Thomas Davis, at Gwenford, Idaho, spending about equal time with each. He did chores, worked on the farms and never married.
He died July 4, 1919, on the ranch of Owen Thomas Davis at the age of 42. The night before his death, he prepared his clothes and shined his shoes. There was no warning of any illness or health problems. However, on the morning of July 4, 1919, he died of a massive heart attack in bed, about sun up that morning. There was no struggle. His loud snoring awakened Owen Davis. They were sleeping in a cook house in the shade trees about 150 feet from the house. He was buried in Samaria, Idaho,
He was a member of the L.D.S. church. He was baptized August 25, 1886. It is believed that he never had his picture taken because his relatives have never been able to find one.
