William Kent Dahlke
April 28, 1950 – June 13, 2023

William “Bill” Kent Dahlke, 73, a longtime Marsh Valley resident, passed away unexpectedly on
Tuesday June 13, 2023. Bill was born on April 28, 1950, in Downey, Idaho, a son of Bill and
Bonnie Dahlke.

He attended Downey and Inkom Elementary and then graduated from Marsh
Valley High School in 1968. During high school, Bill was active in football and wrestling where
he was a state champion in 1967. He attended Snow College for two years where he played
football and wrestled. He then attended Idaho State University where he also wrestled.

Bill married Lana Hagler in January 1971. They lived in Inkom and had three children
together they later divorced. He enjoyed hunting, football, wrestling, team roping, skiing, and
spending time with his kids and grandchildren, especially at sporting events. He spent several
winters in Arizona team roping. In 2009, he won the World Series of Team Roping in Las
Vegas, Nevada. Most of his life was spent farming and ranching. Later in life he also did
excavation work for Frasure Construction and privately.

He is survived by his three children: Tyler Dahlke of Chubbuck, Idaho, Tucker (Richelle) Dahlke
of Inkom, Idaho, and Tessa (Rance) Howell of McCammon, Idaho, and 7 grandchildren. 3
sisters: Nada (Ed) Young of Midlothian, Virginia, Leta (Tim) Shaffer of South Jordan, Utah, Polly
Dahlke of Montelier, Idaho, and 1 brother John (Kathy) Dahlke of Inkom, Idaho. He is preceded
in death by his parents Bill and Bonnie Dahlke.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday June 23, 2023, at 12 noon in the newer Inkom LDS
church at 150 Snowpeak Boulevard. A viewing will be held on Thursday June 22, 2023 from
7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the same location. There will also be a viewing prior to the funeral on
Friday from 10:30 to 11:30.
