OGDEN, Ut. — William H. Price, 85, died July 1, 1998, at McKay-Dee Hospital.
He was born August 6, 1912, in Samaria, Idaho, the son of William M. and Ann Hamblin Price.
On July 11, 1939, William married Vella Huntsman in Samaria.
He spent his early years growing up in Idaho where he worked in agriculture and the C.C.C. Camps. Following World War II, he moved to Ogden.
William was a member of the L.D.S. Church and enjoyed playing ward basketball. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed gunsmithing work and making his own hunting and fishing supplies. He was a charter member of the Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are his wife of Ogden; five children: Sonja (John) Stoney, Ogden; Dave (Sharon) Price, Caldwell, Idaho; Susan Such, Riverdale, Utah; Bill (Linda) Price, Layton, Utah; Tim (Josie) Price, Ogden; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Also surviving are one brother and three sisters: Earl (Lori) Price, Puyallup, Washington; Emma (Jim) Richards, Nampa, Idaho; Betty (George) Thomas, Clearfield; Annie Jones, Orem, Utah; two brothers-in-law, John Roderick, Pleasantview, Idaho; and Wilbur Sanderson, Nampa, Idaho.
Williams was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one granddaughter and one grandson.
Funeral services were held July 6 at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary. Interment was at Evergreen Memorial Park.
