William Gordon Reynolds, 68, of Malad, died Monday, August 1, 1994, in Idaho Falls.

He was born June 22, 1926, a son of William and Elizabeth Goddard Reynolds. He grew up and was educated in Malad and Ely, Nevada. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Following the war he married Myrle Jones on August 16, 1946, in Pocatello. They made their home in Malad and for a short time had resided in Downey.

He worked for the State of Idaho Division of Highways for 37 years. He was a member of the LDS Church, was past president of the FOE, and past commander of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Myrle, of Malad; one son and his wife, Rollin J. and Susan Reynolds of Idaho Falls; two grandsons; two brothers, Jerry, of San Diego, Calif., and Fred, of Washington state; and his mother, Elizabeth Reynolds, of Malad.

Services were held Thursday, August 4 at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home with military rites at the Malad City Cemetery.

Gordon Reynolds, of Malad, died Monday, Aug. 1, 1994, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Funeral arrangements and an obituary will appear in Wednesday’s edition of The Idaho State Journal. Services are under the direction of the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, Malad.
