William Daniel Clark

William Daniel Clark (Birth – Jan. 24, 1898)

William Daniel Clark, age 80, died Monday, May 22, (1978) in the St. Benedict Hospital at Ogden, Utah, of a short illness.

He was born Jan. 24, 1898 in Malad, a son of John W. and Matilda Williams Clark.


He married Estelle Covert on Oct. 20, 1920 in Malad.

He received his education in the Malad schools, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was a former president of the Chamber of Commerce; Charter member of Oneida County Fair Board; fifty year member of AF&AM (Masonic Lodge No. 52); member of the Schriners; Charter member of the American Legion, Ernest A. Jones Post No. 65; member of the Eternal Order of Eagles; Veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife of Malad; two sons, Tim C. Clark and John W. Clark preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Thursday at noon in the Presbyterian Church with the Reverend S. Norman Naugler officiating. Burial in the Malad City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by the Benson Funeral Home.
