William Clair Williams, 67, passed away Friday, April 18, 1997 at the McKay-Dee Hospital due to an aneurysm.
He was born on July 8, 1929 in Malad, Idaho, a son of William G. and Ada Smith Williams. He was reared and educated in Malad.
On November 30, 1951 he married Anna Hunsaker, they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on April 1, 1963. They made their home in Brigham City, Perry and later moved to Bear River City.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and attended the Bear River 2nd Ward. He served with his wife in the Name Extraction Program.
Clair had worked at Hill Air Force Base, Thiokol, and was a self-employed contractor and had built homes for 40 years.
He had many interests and hobbies, and loved to visit with people. He had many friends, young and old alike. His family was his whole life. Everything he did was for his wife and seven children, and his grandchildren who he was proud of and melted his heart.
He is survived by his eternal companion, Ann, of Bear River City; seven children, Debbie and Rick Griffiths, of Malad, Idaho; Kathy Williams of Bear River City; Jill and Richard Grover and Sandy and Clyde Wohlgemuth, both of Brigham City; Rand and Tami Williams of Layton; Rick and Melanie Williams of Brigham City; Roger and Stephanie Williams of St. George; 23 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two grandchildren serving missions: Elder Dustin Wohlgemuth in the Wisconsin Milwaukee Mission; Elder Erick Griffiths in the Phillipines Bacolod Mission.
Also surviving are two brothers, and two sisters: Gerald and Joyce Williams and Ed and Kristi Williams, both of Bear River City; Adrienne and Creighton Thompson of Roy; Maxine and Wayne Korth of Kaysville. He was their Big Brother and loved them dearly.
He had many nieces and nephews and was interested in their lives and enjoyed them.
Clair was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ronald Todd; two brothers, Robert and Khalil, two grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Debbi Hulet Williams.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 22, 1997 in the Honeyville Chapel with Bishop Brent Baugh officiating. Interment was in the Brigham City Cemetery.
We hope there is some repair work to be done in Heaven, because as long as he has a hammer in his hand a nail and a tape measure in his pocket he will be happy.
