WILLIAM ‘BILL’ MILLS
William “Bill” Richard Mills, 77, of Malad, died Saturday, May 30, 1992, in the Oneida County Hospital.
He was born March 3, 1915, in Blackpine, Idaho, son of Thomas and Inga Emmertson Mills. He grew up in Blackpine and Stone, Idaho. He married Emma Rosella Kulicke October 27, 1942, in Pocatello.
He had farmed and ranched, and raised sheep and cattle. He had lived in Malad for 20 years and been a plumber for the community. He also worked as the Malad fairgrounds maintenance supervisor. He had been a 4-H volunteer, and worked with the Stone Rodeo. He loved to visit with people in the community, and especially loved his grandchildren, Kirk and Chalyce. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching basketball games.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Mills and one son and daughter-in-law, Richard “Tom” and Shirley Rae Mills of Pocatello; two grandchildren, Chalyce April Mills and Kirk Thomas Mills, both of Pocatello; a brother, Wayne Mills of Snowville, Utah; and two sisters, Beth Giordano of Ogden, Utah, and Willma Nelson of New Plymouth, Idaho.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at noon in the Malad LDS First Ward Chapel, Counselor Ralph Bennett officiating. Burial was in the Paris, Idaho Cemetery.
