William (Bill) Karl Atkinson passed away in Petersboro, UT, on Sept. 12, 2018, at the age of 48. Bill was born in Pocatello, Idaho, on Jan. 27, 1970, to Spencer and Sharon Atkinson. He graduated from Malad High School in 1988 and went on to serve an LDS mission in Roanoke, Virginia. Bill graduated from Utah State University in the dairy herdsman program, where he met his wife. VeAnn and Bill were married Aug. 28, 1993, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Bill worked as a milk tester and was a dairy herdsman for Big Z Holsteins in Nibley. Bill enjoyed gardening, working with cows, and spending time with family.
Bill is predeceased by his father, Spencer Henry Atkinson. Bill is lovingly remembered by his wife, VeAnn; children, Mitchell, Kami, Seth and Erin; grandmother, Donna Reading; mother, Sharon Atkinson; and five siblings.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nyman Funeral Home. There will be a viewing held at Nyman Funeral Home, 753 S. 100 East, Logan, UT, on Friday, Sept, 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. at the LDS church house at 125 W. 600 North, in Logan, with a viewing prior from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be a graveside service honoring Bill in the Samaria, ID, cemetery at 5 p.m. Condolences for the family and full obituary can be offered at www.nymanfh.com.
