WILFORD E. PARRY

Wilford E. Parry dies at age 90

Wilford E. Parry, age 90, died Monday, June 11[1979], in the Oneida County Nursing Home after a long illness.

He was born Oct. 6, 1888 at Afton, Wyoming, a son of Bernard Evans and Annie Tresa[sic] Marriott Parry.

He married Mary Hughes Dec. 21, 1925 in Brigham City and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

Mrs. Parry died Jan. 24, 1950.

He was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in the Canadian Mission 1909-1911. He also served in the MIA and was a high priest leader.

He was a member of the American Legion and a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include 3 sons and 2 daughters: Gary Parry, Malad, Boyd Parry, Ogden, Utah and Dean Parry, Ephriam[sic], Utah; Mrs. Jean Olson, Pocatello and Mrs. Donna Austin, Preston. 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the Benson Funeral Home where friends may call Thursday prior to services.

Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
