Wesley L Williams

Montpelier – Wesley L Williams, 79, died Saturday, November 18, at his home here.
He was born May 13, 1910, in Malad to Jenkin Vaughan and Elizabeth Maria Lusk Williams. He graduated from Malad High School and Utah State Agricultural College in business administration. He was a member and also secretary of the Delta Nu fraternity at USU.
He was employed by S.H. Kress Company of Ogden, Utah, where he met his wife, Pearl Emery.
They were married October 8, 1935, in Morgan, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
He worked as a manager for N.H. King Company Stores from 1935 until his retirement in 1978 at the Montpelier store after 27 years of service at that location.
He was a member of the Montpelier Chamber of Commerce.
He served in the U.S. Navy in San Diego from 1943 until December 1945.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served for 17 years on the Montpelier Stake High Council.
He is survived by his wife, of Montpelier; two sons, Don Williams, Providence, Utah, and Jerry Williams, Sandy, Utah; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Lottie Jones, Ogden, Utah; and five brothers, Morgan Williams, Seattle, Washington, Lynn Williams, Salt Lake City, Glenn Williams, Pine Grove, California, Ellis Williams, Pingree. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Montpelier Stake Center. Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
