
Walter James Shaw
Walter James Shaw, 59, of 509 Albatross Drive, Chubbuck, Idaho, passed away early Tuesday morning, Sept. 1, 1992, at Pocatello Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born April 11, 1933, at Hanks, N.D., the son of Archie M. and Lena Roberg Shaw. Mr. Shaw attended school in North Dakota prior to moving to Idaho in 1960. He was a former resident of Idaho Falls before moving to Pocatello in 1977. He worked as a material issue clerk at the INEL.
He married Lenore Ann Asay June 2, 1961, at Malad, Idaho. He enjoyed hunting, out-of-doors, camping, traveling, arrowhead hunting, and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He also enjoyed playing the guitar.
Survivors include his wife, of Chubbuck; one daughter, Mrs. Doug (Sandra Kay) Guidinger, Pocatello, Idaho; one brother, Archie R. Shaw, Mandan, N.D.; two grandchildren, April and Holly Guidinger; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Wesley Shaw, and one sister, Marjorie Bakeman.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Sept. 4, 1992, at 11 a.m. at Manning Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., Pocatello, Idaho. The family will receive friends on Friday for one hour prior to time of services at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery, Malad, Idaho, at 1 p.m. Friday.
