Virginia (Ginger) Tate Wrensted, (1914)

WRENSTED, VIRGINIA TATE, October 15, 1914 – June 15, 2006

Virginia (Ginger) Tate Wrensted, 91, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2006 at the Oneida County Long Term Care Hospital in Malad, ID. She was born October 15, 1914 in Arbon, ID, to Howard Jarvis and Annie Wanstreet Tate, one of five children. She attended school in Crystal and later in Pocatello.

She married T. Paul Wrensted in Blackfoot, ID on March 6, 1940. They raised cattle and farmed in Crystal all of their life. She loved riding horses, the outdoors, the trees and mountains at Crystal. She always had dogs and loved them as she would children. Ginger and Paul had a special way with animals. They always had animals who could do special tricks; a horse who could count, a dog who could smile and birds and squirrels that would come and eat from your hand when you would go to visit.

Ginger is survived by one sister, Ann Thomas; a niece, Lou Ann Thomas (Jeff); nephew, Garry L. Thomas (Rose Mary); Karen Thomas Wharton, niece; great-nieces and nephews; and many friends at the nursing home who loved her very much.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Hofman, Vera Hubbard, one brother, Charles J. Tate, her husband, T. Paul Wrensted and one nephew, Robert W. Thomas.

Funeral services will be conducted June 17, 2006 at the Horsley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello, ID.
