EVANS, VIRGIL JENKINS

Graveside rites were conducted Wednesday, February 4th at the Samaria Cemetery for Virgil Jenkins Evans, age 66, Spokane, WA, who died January 29, 1970 at Spokane.

Mr. Evans was born June 15, 1903 at Samaria, a son of William Bowen Evans and Mary Jenkins Evans. He was a member of the LDS Church. Mr. Evans never married. A graduate of the University of Idaho, Moscow, and Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA, he was a teacher and United States Forest employee.

Surviving are a brother and three sisters, William J. Evans, Salt lake City; Mrs. Al (Mary) DeVine, Los Angeles; Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Otis, Huntington Beach, CA; Mrs. Dewey (Naomi) Warner, Lava; a special friend, Maxine Davidson, Spokane.

Burial was directed by Benson Funeral Home.
