VERL O. ROSE

TREMONTON – In the early morning hours of December 26, 2011, after a long battle and valiant fight with health issues, Verl O. Rose went home to get hugs from Pam, Paul and other loved ones awaiting his arrival. He was born at Stone, Idaho on June 1, 1930. His early years were spent on the family farm. His family moved to Tremonton, Utah when he was ten. Verl finished school in Tremonton and graduated from Bear River High.

Instead of using his full scholarship for his beautiful art talent, he chose to join the Navy. After basic training he was sent to Nashville, TN for further schooling. He was inducted into the Naval Air Force and spent the remainder of his tour of duty aboard aircraft carriers as an aviation structural mechanic. He saw action in the Korean War.

He married his childhood sweetheart, Marilyn Baker, on January 31, 1951. They were blessed with five Roses: Michael Verl, Pam (Deceased), Lynn J. (Sandra), Blaine Kendall (Lynette) and Paul Baker (Deceased). He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of 60 years, three Roses, 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and five nephews in Utah and Oregon.

There will be a viewing from 6-8 p.m. December 30, 2011 at Rudd Funeral Home, Garland and 11:30 – 12:30 on December 31, 2011 at the Fifth Ward LDS Chapel, Tremonton, UT prior to the funeral. Interment at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery with military honors.
