FUNERAL HELD WEDNESDAY FOR VERA ZUNDEL
This community was saddened to learn of the sudden death of Miss Vera Hazel Zundel which occurred Saturday morning, October 1, at her home at 48 so. 4th East St. in Salt Lake City after a brief illness of three days.
Miss Zundel leaves her parents. Mr. and Mrs. I. D. Zundel and the following brothers and sisters: W. S. Zundel of Montello. Nevada, D. H. Zundel of Pocatello, Afton, of Arcada, California, Verl, and Iril D. of Malad, Mrs. Hugh L. Clark of Woodruff, Mrs. D. E. Smith of Ogden, Verga, and Gladys of Malad
Miss Zundel was born at Woodruff, Idaho, April 22, 1901, and moved with the family to Malad in 1913 where she lived until February 1923, when she moved to Salt Lake and has resided, there up to the time of her death, being employed at the Nelson-Ricks Creamery.
Miss Zundel was a member of the L. D. S. Church, and while living in Malad she was active as a Primary teacher for a number of years.
Impressive funeral services were conducted in the First Ward on Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock by Bishop J. H. Dredge as follows: Selection, “My Father Knows”—Double mixed quartet; Invocation—T. J. Howard. Vocal Duet, “Sometime We’ll Understand”—Kate E. Jones and Merle Reynolds. Talk Myrthus Evans; Talk—Mr. LeRoy Nelson of the Ne-son-Ricks Creamery Company; Solo—H. M. Williams; Talk—Harold W. Lawrence; Remarks—Bishop J. H. Dredge; Selection, “Though Deepening Trials” —Quartet Benediction—A. R. Castleton.
Interment was in the Malad cemetery where Jas. B. Jones dedicated the grave.
