Van William Flint, 7 March 1918

LAYTON – Van William Flint “Pete”, age 84, passed away on December 3, 2002 at Davis Hospital following a stroke.

He was born March 7, 1918 in Kaysville, UT, the son of Ben and Bessie Maria Webster Flint. He married Mary Margaret Bennett on March 21, 1942 in Malad, ID. The marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles, CA LDS Temple.

Van served in the Army in the South Pacific during World War II.

Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

Surviving are one son, William Van (Jane) Flint, Kaysville, and one daughter, Kristine (Lynn) Beens, Layton; and seven grandchildren; one sister, Fern Flint Bennett of Franklin, ID. He was preceded in death by a grandson, brother and sister.

Graveside services will be held December 9, 2002 at the Kaysville City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
