July 29, 1972 – January 24, 2026

Tyler Reed Facer, 53, passed away peacefully at home on January 24th, surrounded by family after battling a short illness.

Tyler was born to Reed and Lynda Facer on July 29th in Malad, Idaho. He had one younger brother, Travis. He was a member of the LDS church. He attended Malad High School before he started working. He worked in construction and enjoyed his time as an ironworker.

He married Misty Anderson and gained two daughters; they later divorced but he always kept them as his own.

He was a lover of horse races and could be found at any racetrack in Idaho and even some in Wyoming. He could always be found watching a Raiders game or a rock concert. His love of KISS was astounding. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing with his family and girls. He was an avid outdoorsman.

He is survived by his mother, Lynda; his brother Travis (Charlie); nieces and nephews, Mickayla with great-niece Isabella and great-nephew William, Taylor, Dallas and Shandie; Misty Anderson, Kandace (Xjander) Olmos-Anderson with grandchilen Mateo, Harper and Spencer; and Anastasia Shaffer.

He is preceded in death by his father, Reed; grandson Spencer; his uncle, Melvin and Nancy, where his love of horse races came from; grandparents Howard and Thelma Wakley; Vila and Francis Facer; and numerous aunts and uncles.

There will be no funeral per Tyler’s request. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, head down to the horseraces and make a $2 bet in honor of Tyler.
