Tye Jason Bloomingkemper
July 25, 1976 – September 15, 2025
Tye Jason Bloomingkemper set his soul free on Monday, September 15, at the age of 49.
Tye was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, on his mother’s birthday, July 25, 1976. He grew up in Pocatello, where his adventurous spirit first took root. As a child, he could be found in the mountains with friends, catching snakes, climbing (and sometimes falling from) trees, and always seeking the next thrill.
Tye lived life full throttle. A true outlaw, he loved fast cars, loud Harleys, the mountains, and every animal that crossed his path. He was known for his grit, sharp humor, and big heart. Tye never backed down from a challenge, nor did he ever lose his spark of rebellion. He was life-flighted, searched and rescued, nearly blown up a few times, and still carried on. Even when the ride slowed, Tye kept rolling with strength and attitude, showing everyone around him what resilience looked like.
Friends and family will remember the mischievous grin, the quick wit, and the way he made every gathering louder, funnier, and more alive.
Tye is survived by his mother, Jill Barber, and stepfather, Roy Hansen; sisters Tyrel Julian and Sara Hunsucker; brother Jeff Dickey; his sons, Shaiden and Tristan Bloomingkemper; and Alicia Rowley his beloved partner, who shared his home and adventures, up to and including the occasional search and rescue. Brothers in spirit Christopher O’Neil, James Murphy, and Larry Blackwell.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clint Bloomingkemper; stepmother, Marie Bloomingkemper; and brother-in-law, Eric Julian.
Ride on, Tye Bloomingkemper. You were one hell of a badass, and the world is a wilder, better place because of you.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
We will be gathering for Tye’s celebration of life on October 11th at 1:00 PM at the Greystone Manor in Lava Hot Springs. We hope you can join us.
