Malad…Thora Moon Jensen, our dear mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully Saturday October 10, 2009 in Clinton, Utah, at the home of her son. She was separrated from her eternal companion, R. Grant Jensen, who died on July 3, 2009, and they are now reunited forever. She was born June 20, 1921 in Malad, Idaho a daughter of William Earling and Deseret Camp Moon. She was the third of six children. Thora was raised and educated in Malad. On September 13, 1938, she married R. Grant Jensen in the Logan LDS Temple. They raised their 7 children in and around Malad. Thora faithfully fullfilled many church callings through the years. she was a loving and compassionate person who served many in the ward and community. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, and sewing for her family. Thora always had an wonderful camping and playing games with her children and grandchildren. She also had a love of books and cooking. Thora loved all her children and had a special love for her son, Kyle . She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother. She is survived by her children: Cleon (Barbra) Jensen of Ogden; Marilyn (Cleve) Anderton of Pocatello; Ken (Sandra) Jensen of Magna, Utah; Kyle Jensen of Clinton, Utah; Bonita (Mohan) Mahallati of Sandy, Utah; Julie Jesnen of Centerv ille, Utah; and Kerry (Brooke) Jensen of CLinton, Utah. 31 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. 2 sisters and 2 brothers.Funeral services will be held on Friday October 16, 2009 at 11:00 am in the malad LDS 6th Ward Chapel 200 W. 400 N. Friends are invited to visit with the Jensen family Thursday evening October 15 from 6-8 pm at the Horsley Funeral Home 132 W. 300 N. and on Friday morning at the funeral home prior to the service from 9:30-10:30- am. Burial will follow in the Pleasantview Cemetery.
