Thomas T. Colton, 80, of Malad City, Idaho, passed away at home, Monday September 13, 1999.
He was born August 23, 1919, Malad, Idaho, a son of Morgan and Sarah Amelia Thorpe Colton. He was raised and educated in Malad. He served in the South Pacific during World War II.
He married Genavie Wakley on October 22, 1941 in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on June 22, 1948. He served in various capacities in the church until the time of his death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Genavie, of Malad, one son, Thomas Lamar Colton of Seattle, Washington; one daughter, Sheila Ann (Alan) Benson of Rupert, Idaho; Eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Beth Davis and Ardyth Toland, both of Malad. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Grace Hill, Josephine Allen, Amelia May Felix and Merle John.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 17, 1999 in the Malad Stake Center at 12 noon. Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 West 300 North on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday one hour prior to the services.
