THOMAS F. THOMAS DIES, FUNERAL WED.

Thomas Franklin Thomas, age 78, died May 8, 1977 in the Oneida County Hospital of a long illness.

He was born Oct. 6, 1898 at St. John, a son of David Stevens and Anna Martina Larson Thomas. He married Maude Irene Jones November 23, 1925 in Salt lake City; the marriage was solemnized Feb. 17, 1965 in the Logan LDS Temple.

He was a farmer, employed at the Utah-Idaho Sugar Factory two years; employed at Crowther Bros. Milling Co. for six years and St. John Irrigation Co. for 14 years.

He was a member of the LDS Church and was active in Scouting. He was chairman of the Democratic Precint and member of the F.O.E.

Survivors include his widow of Malad; two sons and one daughter: Dale J. Thomas, Malad; John J. Thomas, Woods Cross, UT; Mrs. Dean L. (Mary Lou) Williams, Pocatello; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild; one brother and one sister: James Thomas, Pocatello and Mrs. Annella Jones, Ogden.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in the St. John LDS Chapel with Bishop Gene Edward officiating.

At the Benson Funeral Home, the family prayer was offered by Jink W. Jones. Patsy Bybee played the prelude and postlude music at the church. The invocation was given by Rex Daniels, followed by a vocal solo by Dr. Gerald Goodenough. The obituary was read by Marilyn Mansfield. Speaker for the services was Rex Harris followed by another vocal selection by June Ward.

Bishop Edwards gave remarks followed by a third vocal number by Helen E. Jones. The benediction was by Bishop Gordon Crowther. The concluding rites were at the St. John Cemetery with Bishop Harold Jones giving the dedicatory prayer, followed by military rites.

The flowers were arranged by the St. John Relief Society, Rosalie Colton, president.

Honorary bearers were Milt Jones, Dave Treasure, Ray Clark, Rene Deschamps, Oscar Larsen, Louis Deschamps, Walt Davis, Howard Wakley and Mitchell Deschamps.

Casket bearers were Dean Williams, John Franklin Thomas, Tom Williams, Dale Roy Thomas, David R. Jones, Morris Thomas, Jr., Farrell Hill and Ray Neil Jones.
