Terry Monroe Williams
October 30, 1948 – January 3, 2026

Terry Monroe Williams, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at his home in Pocatello, Idaho, surrounded by his beloved family.

Terry was born on October 30, 1948, in Malad, Idaho, to Dan C. Williams and LaZell DeMill Williams. He loved growing up in Malad, where he graduated with the Class of 1967. He was actively involved in school and athletics, playing baseball, football, and basketball, served as senior class president, and was voted Best All-Around by his classmates.

Terry attended Utah State University before serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Zealand. He cherished his mission experiences and enjoyed sharing those memories with his family. As a devoted member, his faith remained central throughout his life.

After returning from his mission, with the help of Howard W. Hunter, Terry was accepted into Brigham Young University, where he graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. After graduating, Terry explored several opportunities before beginning his long successful career with Johnson & Johnson as a respected pharmaceutical representative, where he remained for more than 30 years.

On August 20, 1971, Terry married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Moon, in the Logan Temple. They were blessed to spend 54 years together, raising five children: Jimmie (Holly) of Idaho Falls; Chadley D (Cindy) of Eagle, Idaho; Christopher (Katie) of Idaho Falls; Angela Williams of Kimberly, Idaho; and Hailey Johnson (Jordan) of Mineral Point, Wisconsin.

They were proud grandparents to 35 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, with one more expected in January. They also have a grandson currently serving in the Mexico City, Southeast Mission.

Terry and Sharon were blessed to serve a mission together in the Bentonville, Arkansas Mission, spending much of their time in the Branson, Missouri area, where they loved the people and especially enjoyed serving alongside the missionaries. Together, they also loved serving in the Idaho Falls and Pocatello Temples.

Terry never lost his sense of humor, even while enduring heart and liver disease. He was a gifted storyteller, known for his quick wit and embellished stories. He loved bringing laughter to those around him.

He was deeply devoted to his family and rarely missed an opportunity to support his grandchildren at games, events, and activities. His greatest joy was being with his family. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course with friends, and Corvette trips with his wife and their close friends.

He is survived by his brothers Danny (Susie), Kevin (Bonnie), and John Williams, as well as loving cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly.

A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, January 8, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., and again on Friday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., prior to funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, at the Butte LDS Church, located at 2300 Butte Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho.
