Terry Lee Larkins

KAYSVILLE – Terry Lee Larkins, beloved father, son, brother and best friend, passed away Sunday, July 5, 1998, at the McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, from an accidental drowning due to a horse-riding accident.

He was born October 6, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Lyle H and Nancy Lee Raver Larkins. He married Christena Sweat in Elko, Nevada. They were later divorced. He married Nannette Neild on June 27, 1987, in Montpelier, Idaho. They were later divorced.

Terry was reared and educated in Kaysville, and lived most of his adult life in Idaho. He graduated from Davis High School in 1978 and went on to Horse Shoeing college and heavy duty equipment operator school.

He was also a registered E.M.T.

He had been a rancher in Bancroft, Geneva and Pegram, Idaho, and especially loved living in Montpelier. He had been a heavy equipment operator in the mines in Idaho. Terry was a giving, loving and outgoing individual who was always helping others in need. He will be especially missed for his cheerful manner and his bear-like hugs.

Terry is survived by his parents, Kaysville; two sons, Riley T. Larkins, Malad, Idaho, James Rowdy Larkins, Soda Springs, Idaho; two daughters, Sylvia C. Larkins, Malad, Idaho; and Misty Dawn Larkins, Soda Springs, Idaho; his companion and fiancé’ Shellie Beckstrom, and her daughter Whitnie, to whom Terry was like a father, both of Pleasant View, Utah. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Howard J. (Kristy) Larkins, Layton; Lane L. Larkins, Syracuse; Tina Marie Larkins, Ogden, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, 1998, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main, where friends and family may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment Kaysville City, Cemetery.
