Terrell Howard Pledger

Terry was born on Friday, December 15, 1950 in Boise, Idaho. He was the second son born to George and Alba Pledger.

The family later moved to Pocatello where he excelled in sports, especially football. In 1969, he graduated from Pocatello High School. A few years later, while working at Kraft, he married his angel, Alaina Smith. Together, they raised five children in McCammon, Idaho.

Terry loved sharing his passion for fishing and sports with his children, grandchildren and his community. Some people knew him as Officer Pledger, as a referee, others as a coach, but his proudest role was being called Grandpa.

His service to his community continued as a Bannock County Sheriff for several years. Terry later worked with the youth in the juvenile courts system and ended his career at the Federal Courthouse. After Terry retired, you could find him chasing after his grandchildren at their sporting events, or watching sports and Oregon Ducks football on television.

He is survived by his beautiful wife Alaina; their children Mark (Katie) Pledger, Challis Parke, Mandy (Victor) Nevarez, Heather Pledger, and Aleshia (Nate) Dunn; six grandsons, five granddaughters; and his second mom Janiece Barney.

Please join the Pledger family in celebrating the life of Terrel Howard Pledger on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Marsh Valley Funeral Home located at 570 North Meadowview Drive Arimo, ID 83214. They will be receiving guests from 6:00 until 8:00 pm that evening.
