SUSAN B. THOMAS

Susan Bunn Thomas, 57, of Malad, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2005, at her home of cancer.

She was born Febrary 19, 1948, in Soda Springs, Idaho, a daughter of Stanley William and Norene Benson Bunn.

She was raised and educated in Conda and Soda Springs, was a graduate of Soda Springs High School and later attended Ricks College and Beauty School.

Sue married Randy H. Thomas, June 12, 1970 in the Logan LDS Temple. Following their marriage, they settled in Malad to raise their family. She loved being a mother and being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many callings through the years.

She loved helping others and always had a smile on her face. She taught a Line Dancing class in Malad and loved kicking up her heels with “The Boot Scooters” line dancing group. She also enjoyed “Clogging”. One of her favorite activities was to go camping with her husband, Randy. She also loved to crochet, and had crocheted many hats for other cancer patients at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.

She had a beautiful voice and was a member of the Malad Community Chorus.

Sue was a loving wife, mother, daughter and took great delight in being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Randy, of Malad; daughter, Amy Sue (Roger) Schiess of Downey, Idaho; sons: Benjamin Randy of Salt Lake City, Utah; David Daniel (Brandi) of Pocatello, Idaho; 8 ½ grandchildren; mother, Norene Bunn of Soda Springs; mother-in-law, Helen Thomas of Malad; and sister, Debra Bunn (Layne) Foxley of Alvin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by a sister, LaWana Bunn; father, Stanley Bunn; and father-in-law, Gerald Thomas.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 23, in the Malad LDS Fourth Ward. Burial followed in the Malad City Cemetery.
